Left Handed Scissors...

Most scissors are designed for right handed people. Lefties often must make do with a pair of right handed shears. There are several problems with this approach. First if the shear/scissors they are using have any ergonomic twists to the handle it will make the scissors difficult to hold. Second if the scissors are flat handle design, they have no ability to relieve the tension that is associated with repetitive motion injuries.

Changing a shear to a left handed design entails more than simply moving the pinky rest to the other finger hole. The easiest way to tell is to hold the shears in your right hand and look at the tension control knob or screw. If it faces your hand then this is a right handed shear.

The tension control will always be designed to face the hand to keep it away from the hair while cutting.

So keep in mind if a scissors sales person tells you there isn't a difference between left and right handed scissors either they don't know what they're talking about or they're lying.

  1. I personally love this product… High quality, ultra-sharp, Japanese stainless steel scissors will last for many, many years to come. They have a lovely, innovative, unlike-any-other, lay-flat design. They're great for use by both left and right-handed people. Made by slice. Price is also very reasonable. 2. The common types of hair shears that are found in the markets are the: the ones that have curved blades that aid in getting the closed cropped hair. There are various other types of these Hair Shears. These tools that are given a wide bladed look are used for giving the thick layers of the hairs. There are even thinning hair shears at the leading stores that aid in giving the children, men and women, a perfect hairstyle. The salon will run successfully if you have latest and relevant shears with you. You must be aware that shears have to possess the perfect qualities for the impressive output.
